Lucca is the third most populous province in Tuscany. Its administrative centre is a city noted for its artistic heritage, surrounded by intact Renaissance walls. It is on the tourist circuits and has a dense network of entrepreneurial activity, mainly consisting of small businesses. The Province of Lucca has a coastline on the Ligurian Sea: seaside resorts such as Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi and Lido di Camaiore are extremely popular in summer.

Renovation of Palazzo Roni Aimed at enhancing the Vergemoli area for tourism purposes

Three EU funds have helped revitalise the Palazzo Roni in Vergemoli, one of the most representative buildings in the history and tradition of the region.

TRIPLO - Innovative and sustainable transport and links between ports and logistics platforms

Lucca is the leader of TRIPLO, an EU project which aims to reduce noise pollution in areas lying between commercial ports and the back-port areas for the benefit of the local residents, for instance in the area around the Frizzone freight yards.

GRITACCESS - Great Accessible Itinerary

GRITACCESS, an EU-funded strategic project, will contribute to the functional redevelopment of the reception / teaching area at the Palazzo Ducale and help attract more visitors along the Napoleonic itinerary around the city of Lucca through the creation of a special APP.

Improvement of the domiciliary networks
