Harghita County has a predominantly mountainous landscape that is partly volcanic in origin. Its many mineral water springs provide it with its principal commodity, which is consumed throughout Romania and abroad. Otherwise, its chief areas of activity are timber processing, light industry and the food sector. The mainly Székely population also makes a valuable contribution with its distinct historic and cultural heritage.

Reducing carbon emissions in Miercurea Ciuc Municipality through investments based on the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan
The urban mobility development project - one of the largest at regional level - includes traffic management and bike-sharing arrangements, over 5.3 km of cycle paths, the purchase of 23 clean methane buses, modernisation of road arteries and the refurbishment of bus stations.
Establishment of a sectoral business incubator in the field of creative industries in Odorheiu Secuiesc Municipality
The realization of a new sectoral business incubator in the field of creative industries in Odorheiu Secuiesc Municipality on unused land includes the construction of 15 production spaces, two warehouses and some administrative and meeting/conference spaces.
