European funds have helped kick start a number of actions so that highly qualified young people can receive support, advice and develop their skill set to allow them to find work more easily, and have even supported businesses who wish to employ these young people.
Examples of projects and initiatives supported by the EU
Gaining work experience for 3,900 unemployed young people
Work experience offered to 3 900 unemployed people aged up to 29 years, who have completed a theoretical training course in the field of digital economy totalling at least 50 hours of learning and who remain out of the labour market or are not in education or training, with a view to helping them get into the job market.
Acquiring academic teaching experience for young scientists with a PhD in Educational Institutions throughout Greece
Acquisition of academic teaching experience by young scientists with PhDs, in educational establishments across Greece during the academic year 2022-2023.
Transition to innovative, extroverted and smart specialization in the Central Macedonia Region through strengthening the activities of the priority sectors of the National Smart Specialization Strategy
Transition towards innovative, outward-looking and smart specialisation in the Region of Central Macedonia by boosting activities in priority areas of the National Smart Specialisation Strategy, according to the specialised areas of each Region, through support to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the Region.
