The Southeast North Brabant region is a world leader when it comes to innovative high tech. To a large extent, this is due to Brainport Eindhoven, a collaborative partnership between 21 municipalities in Metropolitan Region Eindhoven plus regional businesses and knowledge institutions. Alongside high tech, the agrifood and manufacturing industries are also major drivers of the regional economy.
