East Anglia has a strong economy with above-average income levels and relatively low unemployment. Activities range from high-tech innovation in Cambridge’s Silicon Fen to agriculture, with cereals and sugar beet among the main crops. The region includes some of the least polluted areas in England, with one National Park (the Norfolk Broads) and several areas of natural beauty.
