With support from Interreg Øresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak (ØKS), 10 partners across the Øresund region have been working together to make electricity and heat generation more climate-friendly and to make sure that buildings are as energy-efficient as possible. Members of the public – including public housing association tenants – have been involved in testing tools for a two-year project, ‘Smart Cities Accelerator+’, which builds on a previous ØKS initiative. One of the areas it focuses on is the smart use of data in energy planning. 

The aim of the EASIER project is to foster coherent, sustainable mobility. Bringing together partners from four countries, it sets out – from the traveller’s perspective – to make travel as seamless as possible, combining sustainable, active modes of transport such as walking and cycling with shared mobility services and public transport, so that people can leave their cars at home. The project is being led by the Technical University of Denmark.

The Circular Economy Beyond Waste (CEBW) project is receiving backing from the LIFE programme’s special action fund for major integrated projects (IP) in order to promote the transition to a circular economy throughout Denmark. Waste volumes are to be reduced through prevention, reuse and recycling to a greater extent. The Central Denmark Region is heading up the project, which involves 40 partners, including 18 from Central Denmark, to deliver on what is a major task.

As the Capital Region’s core task, healthcare is a focus for optimisation and innovation. With that in mind, the region has joined the Procure4Health project on innovative public procurement in the healthcare sector. 

Sjældne sygdomme er livstruende eller svært invaliderende og forekommer hos færre end 1 ud af 2,000 individer. Selvom de enkeltvis er sjældne, har man kendskab til ca. 7.000 sjældne sygdomme, som blandt andet omfatter børnekræft. Projektet vil skabe en grænseoverskridende generisk platform for deling af data og styrke tværsektorielt samarbejde på området.
