The Centria University of Applied Sciences in Kokkola coordinated the ‘Industry Nordic’ project. Via market surveys focusing on specific products, the project sought out small businesses that could process locally sourced primary products. The project chimed with Finland’s bio-economy strategy, and aimed to boost the development of the soft fruit industry. 

The new ‘My Kokkola’ service makes it easier for people from abroad to bring their skills and come to live and work in the region. It helps people find the language courses the region offers, for example, as well as many other services relating to everyday life, leisure and employment.
