Bratislava is the capital of the Slovak Republic, its largest city in terms of area and population, and the centre of Bratislava Region. According to the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic, approximately 430 000 people live in the city. Bratislava is located at the foot of the Little Carpathians, between the Záhorská and Danubian Lowlands. The Danube flows through the city. Bratislava is situated on the borders with Austria and Hungary, making it the only capital city in the world lying at the border of three states. The city is dominated by Bratislava Castle, with its landmark four turrets, and St Martin’s Cathedral. In terms of gross domestic product (GDP), Bratislava, at 179% of the per capita average, is among the most productive regions in Europe.

Integration program and project Housing OZ Vagus
The aim of the project Integration Programme and Housing Project OZ Vagus is to end street homelessness among individuals in Bratislava, to prevent the loss of housing and the occurrence of homelessness through the provision of housing, which we consider to be an innovative measure in the solution of homelessness and one of our main objectives.
Modernisation of tram lines – Dúbravsko–Karloveská
The aim of the project Modernisation of tram lines - Dúbravsko - Karloveská radiála is to replace the obsolete and worn-out structures of the tram lines with new and progressive elements. The modernisation of the tram line starts in the area from the tunnel under the castle and ends at the intersection of the streets Hanulova/Bagarova – M.S. Trnavský. The length of the upgraded two-track section of the tram line is 6.77 km.
Support for nursing services in Senior Centre Old Town
The project’s main activity Support for nursing services in Senior Centre Old Town is the extended provision of nursing services to the residents of Bratislava. Senior Centre Old Town is a provider of social services in in-situ, outpatient and residential form. The most pronounced emphasis in the nursing services is the criterion of preference for outreach over residential care.
