Examples of projects and initiatives supported by the EU
Sustainable working life in Ragunda
Retirements, a segregated labour market, low reception capacity in workplaces for people with special needs, and a perceived high workload create challenges. The project Sustainable working life in Ragunda aims at a broader collaboration between activities, an increased sense of well-being among staff, and a better environment allowing quality induction for new employees.
React-EU Vemdalen, investment in hiking trails
The React–EU Vemdalen project relies on physical investments in hiking and touring trails. It seeks to maintain attractive and sustainable trails in the mountains and work preventively to protect animals and nature in a sustainable way. The project has a total budget of around 3 million and will run until 31 December 2022.
A world-class bicycling destination
A world-class cycling destination 2.0 aims to prioritise and implement development initiatives based on the Biking Åre network, which in turn will improve the profitability of the participating companies. Principally, the project aims to ensure that investment in cycling for Åre increases the competitiveness of companies by creating jobs for more people, and increasing the attractiveness of Åre.
Response for upskilling
Response is an upskilling project allowing companies in the Jämtland Härjedalen region to receive expert knowledge about sustainable methods and business models. SMEs will gain in-depth knowledge of the circular economy, global foresight, and the impact of global goals on business.
