Apart from the hills and mountains in the north, the province of Treviso is essentially flat and has an abundance of water resources fed by numerous springs. With an unemployment rate much lower than the national average, the province of Treviso is an industrial area with dynamic sectors (food, textiles, clothing, mechanical engineering and ceramics). Its thriving agricultural sector is famous above all for the wines it produces, which are protected by EU quality labels, notably Conegliano Valdobbiadene – Prosecco PDO, Asolo – Prosecco PDO and Prosecco PDO. These are some of Italy’s best known wines and are exported worldwide.
